Is their Really Forgivness for my Sins and Yours?

I recently attended a Shabbat morning Torah study. We had been studying the book of Deuteronomy when a middle aged man asked the rabbi this question, is that where we get redemption.

Redemption is defined as the forgiveness of our sins and Gods accepting us into heaven.

The rabbi just sat and looked at the man until the man gave up and said, I think I understand. The rabbi could not provide an answer to one of mans most basic questions, of under what terms will God accept man.

The fact is that under Judaism as we know it there is no answer. An example, its like you are traveling down a super highway and you end up in a muddy field. The road ends and all construction had stopped. As long as you are traveling in circles you never realize that spiritually you have come to the end of the road.

Under the Mosaic covenant the basis of Judaism, man will always be lost. The Mosaic covenant was simply the on ramp to the super highway analogy. God never intended for the keeping of the Law of Moses to be the final and only answer to redemption. God first gave the covenant of Moses and then gave a greater covenant of grace and mercy.

Spiritual leaders two thousand years ago did not simply reject the covenant of grace out of principle; they rejected the covenant of Moses as well. These men were rebellious against God.

God has already provided a way for you to have your sins forgiven. God has already provided a way for you to be at peace with him.

Look at your life, what do you see? If you have sinned one sin, told one lie, stolen one item, thought one ungodly thought your are heading for hells judgment. Your conscious already condemns you before God.

If someone doesn’t know how I am going to go to heaven after I die, why would I want to follow them?

I came out of a religion that offered four different ways to get to heaven, one for almost every day of the week. Why would I want to follow men when I can follow God and his scriptures?

When I was twenty three years old I was offered the covenant of grace through Jesus Christ, Gods son. First I asked forgiveness for my sins. The mosaic covenant, we must ask God to forgive us of our sins. Next we ask God to apply his covenant of forgiveness and grace upon our life.

What sins will he forgive, all of them, from the day you were born to the day you die?

Won’t you ask God today to forgive you of your sins through the covenant of his son, Jesus Christ?

Does God really exist, and what is he like?

That is a very good question. I had my first opportunity to visit a Jewish service recently. The congregation sat in the middle of a huge area populated with hundreds of thousands of Jews. In the congregation of about 75 people, not one Jew under the age of thirty was present. No kids, no teenagers, no young families were in attendance.

I could see that the average Jew were not able to make a good strong connection with God. I hope you will read my post, (talk about being bulled over).

I would like to spend the remainder of my time with you talking about one aspect of God.

Does God really care about you, well does he? It’s hard to get to know and love a God that doesn’t seem to exist.

My wife and I were shopping at a mall early one morning and we bumped into a friend who had just gotten off of work. She was a nurse at our local hospital. Her job is taking care of new born babies. Up to that point she could not have children. As we met in the mall she broke down and cried, she had had two miscarriages, one only a month previous.
I could see that God had directed her to us for prayer. We prayed in the middle of the mall and we took her out to breakfast. Five months later God had answered our prayers.

God really cares about you!!! I don’t care what kind of life you have lived up to now, he loves you.

What is so exciting about the Jewish people and I have at opportunity to tell you is that God is just now opening a door of repentance and salvation for the Jewish people. God wants to talk with you and answer your prayers. He wants to bless you with true blessings. He wants to give you peace and encouragement in you time of struggle. He wants to take that guilt away. He wants to restore your home and family.

Talk about being bulled over

It has been interesting to see who has been stopping by for a look at Jews Today.

Let’s get a little personal for this post. Sometimes it is nice to know who is writing a blog. I won’t give my age but I am a father of four grown children and have been married to my wife of thirty two years.

How did I get involved in writing a Jewish blog?

That is a very good question with an equally good answer. I was not raised as a Jew. As a young man of fifteen years old I decided that I was not going to continue attending the church of my family.

I was looking for a God who did not change at every whim of men. At around the age of 21 I started taking more of an interest in God. My experience was that he had so greatly blesses me at the time that I Just wanted to thank him if I could. At the age of 23 I asked him to forgive me of my sins and be a part of my life.

In August of 2008 while I was reading my scripture, God told me to tell the Jews to repent. I made a comment to my wife, Jews, I don’t know any Jews. I live in western Michigan; we have a lot of religious people but Jews we do not have many of.

As I was writing this blog and preparing for future posts God informed me that I had Jewish blood!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did my detective work and I found the evidence.

Talk about being bulled over. God is doing such great things to and through the Jewish people these days.

I hope all of my Jewish and non-Jewish friends will stop in often so we can get to know one another.

God is calling his People to Repent of Their Sins!!!

This is a portion of a letter below sent to a southeastern Michigan rabbi, it basically outlines why the Jews need to repent of their sins. If this post speaks to you then you personally need to repent before the Lord.

Dear Rabbi R…,

I would like to extend my gratitude for the warm welcome I received two weeks ago as I attended the Shabbat morning Torah study group, I would like to return as time permits.

As you well understand the nation of Israel and its people are in a dire situation. The purpose of my meeting with you and your congregation was to give a message of repentance from the Lord.

In August of 2008 Gods very words to me were, “tell the Jews to repent.” Shortly there after I began a blog, JIPT.blogspot.com, (Jews in Prophecy Today) and my very first post was titled, “Is another Jewish holocaust just around the corner?”

It was not a coincidence that Gods message of repentance and your study text on Deuteronomy were directly related. I had no idea what scripture text your Shabbat study would be bases on before my arrival. Your study text was referring to the covenant that God gave to the Jewish nation. I recall you agreeing with the text that individual Jews as well as the Jewish nation as a whole is, in your own words, culpable or responsibility to keeping their end of the covenant with God.

Deuteronomy chapters’ 28 through chapters 30 are Moses last words spoken to the nation of Israel. These words as you know carry a very heavy weight, and lie at the core of the Jewish belief which you agree must be adhered to at all cost.

Basically the covenant says that when the nation of Israel adheres to Gods laws and principles God will bless the nation; on the converse judgment from other nations will ensue when this covenant is broken.

Deuteronomy 28:20

20 The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him

By the evidence presented according to Deuteronomy chapter 28, (verses and text below)
You, your congregation, as well as the entire nation of Israel have broken all Ten Commandments.

Moses drew the line by saying, “you have done evil in forsaking him.”

The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin (verse 20)

The Jewish nation is in default before the Lord! Deuteronomy 28:20,

Rabbi do you recall at the beginning of the lesson when you were describing how God destroyed those Jews in the exodus who did not believe the spies report and would not enter into the land? In that day God destroyed his own people, how much less will he not spare the nation from destruction today?
